Netflix‘s new TV and movie releases for May 6-12 2024 include the second season of the Blood of Zeus and the films Mother of the Bride and Thank You, Next.
On May 9, Netflix subscribers can check out the romantic drama comedy movie Mother of the Bride. Starring Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove, Benjamin Bratt, and Sean Teale in the lead roles, the story revolves around a mother’s nervousness regarding her daughter’s upcoming marriage. Then, things get complicated further when the mother finds out that her daughter’s fiance is the son of the man who broke her heart many years ago. Mark Waters, known for his work on the hit films Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, is the movie’s director.
Thank You, Next is another film arriving on Netflix on May 9. The narrative follows a young lawyer after a terrible break-up. She then has a hasty entrance into the complex world of modern dating with the help of her best friends.
Lastly, on May 10, Blood of Zeus Season 2 arrives on Netflix. This follow-up season has finally arrived four years after the first season’s release. The story follows Heron, the demigod son of Zeus who attempts to save Olympus and Earth from various threats. Like various myths in Ancient Greece, this series also features a world inhabited by gods, mythical monsters, demons, automata, and titans.
Also releasing on Netflix this week is the movie War Dogs, a dark comedy starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller in the lead roles as arms dealers. There’s also Sing Street, a musical comedy movie directed by John Carney and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Lucy Boynton, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Aidan Gillen, Jack Reynor, and Kelly Thornton.
