NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Powerball jackpot has been raised to $1 billion for Monday’s drawing. According to the New Mexico Lottery, it is the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot in the nation’s history.
This is the first time in 2024 the Powerball jackpot has risen to $1 billion. If the jackpot is won in New Mexico, it would be the state’s largest jackpot won and the sixth time a Powerball jackpot has been won in the Land of Enchantment.
Tickets for the Powerball cost $2 per play, and the New Mexico Lottery reminds players to play responsibly.
