Premier Energy Acquires Iberdrola’s 80MW Wind Park in Dobrogea

Premier Energy Group announces the acquisition of the Mihai Viteazu wind farm, with a capacity of 80 MW, located in Constanța County. It is about the park owned by the Spanish company Iberdrola, which is thus withdrawing from our country. The transaction, worth 88 million euros, is subject to standard regulatory approvals for this type of transaction in Romania.

“This strategic acquisition further strengthens Premier Energy’s commitment to leadership in sustainable energy production and virtually doubles its footprint in operating wind power assets. The wind farm has an estimated net production of 165 GWh per year,” the company said in a statement.

The value of the transaction is 88 million euros and includes approximately 520,000 green certificates.
The transaction is subject to standard regulatory approvals, including the approval of the Competition Council, and is expected to be completed this year.
The Premier Energy Group, together with its subsidiary Alive Capital, is one of the largest players in the renewable energy segment, with an installed capacity of over 900 MW in ownership, management and development in Romania.
Premier Energy bought CEZ Vanzare at the end of last year.
The transaction with Premier Energy marks the exit of the Spanish company Iberdola  from the Romanian market, a move also announced by Iberdola today.
