BERNALILLO, N.M. (KRQE) – A free program is coming to a Bernalillo library with help from the New Mexico Historic Sites. All ages are welcome.
For the next three months, the Martha Liebert Public Library will hold a program called “Ranger Read and Learn.” A historic site ranger will read a book and give participants activities related to the story.
The event is on the third Saturday of every month with a new book each time.
April 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: The book is “Kid Scientist: Archaeologists on a Dig.” – There will be an Archaeology Petting Zoo visit.
May 18, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: The book is “Corn Maiz.” – This book will be read in English and Spanish; participants will learn about agriculture of the past and current day.
June 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: The book is “Coyote and the Sky.” – Discussion will surround the night sky, and there will be a constellation project.
