Roadrunner Food Bank receives nearly 4,500-gallon milk donation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A semi-truck packed full of milk arrived on Thursday morning at the Roadrunner Food Bank, all courtesy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church donated nearly 4,500 gallons of milk to the non-profit with two more 4,000-gallon deliveries planned in August and December.

“This milk has about a two-week shelf life. They have the distribution network, they can get it out to the families so quickly and so we’re so excited that we can leverage our strengths and come together and do some major good for the families in Albuquerque,” said Jason Harper, Communications Director of The Albuquerque-area Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
