People used dye, molotov cocktails and fires to protest against Russia’s elections, which are certain to extend Vladimir Putin’s 24-year rule until at least 2030. The Kremlin released footage of what it said was Putin casting an online vote and the foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, voting at a polling station. The elections are due to continue until Sunday
