In the Webby race for Music Video, General Video (Video), the nominees are Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red,” Lil Nas X’s “J Christ,” Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cobra,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” and Victoria Monét’s “On My Mama.”

“This year’s nominees represent the very best in innovation and creativity on the Internet,” Claire Graves, president of The Webby Awards, said in a statement.

Nominees are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. All nominees are eligible to win two awards: The Webby Award, selected by the Academy, and The Webby People’s Voice Award, voted on by the online community. Voting for The Webby People’s Voice Awards is now open at http://vote.webbyawards.com. Voting continues through April 18 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Now in its 28th year, the Webby Awards received 13,000 entries from more than 70 countries. The organizations earning the highest number of nominations this year include PBS (20), Warner Bros. Discovery (18), Audible (16), Netflix (14), CNN (13), Paramount (11), iHeartMedia (11), The Washington Post (11), MTV Entertainment (11), TenderfootTV (5) and WaitWhat (4).

This year, a new suite of AI Apps and Experience categories recognize the innovation and continued impact of AI across tech, pop culture, advertising, art, public service and activism. With these categories, The Webby Awards hope to highlight and inspire work that reimagines the default ways we do things online – including using machine learning as a tool to address environmental and social concerns.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 23 and will be celebrated at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, May 13. Writer and comedian Amber Ruffin will host this year’s ceremony. Fans will be able to watch special moments and the signature five-word acceptance speeches from winners on May 13 by following @TheWebbyAwards across Instagram and TikTok.
