The Disco Biscuits Continue Why We Dance Tour with Festival Appearances and TRACTORBEAM Show

RMAG news

The Disco Biscuits have tacked yet another leg to the sprawling Why We Dance Tour, extending the run that has kept the band busy all year through September. Bridging a packed calendar of summer festival appearances, the jamtronica powerhouse has added a total of 11 new dates to the tour that began in January, comprising a suite of East Coast shows and a return to Livingston, Mont.’s Pine Creek Lodge for another three-night residency, just as it presented in 2023. This year, Bisco will only appear at the latter two shows, while the series will be initiated by the group’s beloved alter-ego TRACTORBEAM.

After closing out three straight months of touring on April 14, The Disco Biscuits are currently taking a well-earned breather before hitting the road once more for the summer festival circuit. This grand return will begin imminently with a headline performance at the inaugural Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie in Chillicothe, Ill. on May 26, followed by another leading set at Rothbury, Mich.’s Electric Forest on June 20 and the second annual BISCOLAND at LaFayette, N.Y.’s Wonderland Forest on July 4-6. Next, the band will bear south to Selbyville, Del. for a July 11 staging at the Freeman Arts Pavilion; after a step aside for the previously-announced Peach After Dark Pre-Party on July 12, the band will return to its newly announced run for appearances in Richmond, Va., Wilmington, N.C. and Isle of Palms, S.C. on July 13-15.

On July 18-20, Bisco will return to the Empire State to headline Thornville’s Secret Dreams Festival and Patchogue’s Great South Bay Festival, then make newly announced festival appearances at Long Pond, Pa.’s Elements Festival on Aug. 9 and Murphysboro, Ill.’s Weekend at the Cave on Aug. 31 to Sept. 1. Between these latter billings, the group will stage a pair of shows, with details yet to be announced. Finally, in mid-September, The Disco Biscuits will head to the West for a Sept. 11 set at Salt Lake City’s The Depot and the Pine Creek Lodge trio on Sept. 13-15, the first of which will show the band’s third performance as TRACTORBEAM of 2024.

An artist presale for The Disco Biscuits’ newly announced dates will open tomorrow, May 1 at 12 p.m. ET with code WHYWEDANCE2. General on-sale will begin this Friday, May 3 at 12 p.m. ET. For tickets and more information, visit discobiscuits.com/shows.
