'The Simpsons' Cypress Hill Prediction Comes True

The Simpsons’ prediction about Cypress Hill performing with the London Symphony Orchestra has proven to come true, with the American hip-hop group set to host a once-in-a-lifetime experience later this year.

Nearly 30 years after the original Homerpalooza episode aired, in which it was asked, “Did somebody order the London Symphony Orchestra? Possibly while high? Cypress Hill, I’m looking in your direction…” Cypress Hill will finally perform with the London Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, 10 July, at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

“We are thrilled to be performing with the London Symphony Orchestra in such a prestigious venue as the Royal Albert Hall,” the group commented in a statement via Rolling Stone. “It’s a dream come true, a collaboration only The Simpsons could have predicted.”

Kathryn McDowell, Managing Director of the London Symphony Orchestra, added (per MixMag): “After years of social media teasing it, many fans may have started to believe it would only be a pipe dream – but the LSO is delighted to finally be joining Cypress Hill on stage and in person, and look forward to creating an unforgettable musical moment!”
