The land beneath 23 August street in Slănic Prahova city continued to sink by an additional 20 centimeters, as confirmed by measurements conducted on Friday morning by specialized personnel contracted by the Slănic City Hall, Prahova county authorities reported.
“In the context of the evolution of the emergency situation in the town of Slănic, Prahova county, we want to inform the public opinion that, following the measurements carried out this morning, an increase in land subsidence by approximately 20 cm was found. The situation is continuously monitored, and the specialized personnel contracted by the Slănic City Hall perform measurements to transmit this information to the technical expert in the field of Mechanical Resistance and Stability of the Foundation Ground of Constructions and Earth Masses (Af). Also, the operational teams of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the Romanian Police and the Romanian Gendarmerie are present on the spot to ensure the measures within their area of competence and will remain in the device as long as the situation requires it”, transmitted, on Friday, through a press release, the Prahova County Prefect’s Institution.
