Un avion al companiei Japan Airlines, în care se aflau aproape 400 de pasageri și membrii echipajului, a luat foc marţi seară, 2 ianuarie, pe pista aeroportului Haneda din Tokyo. Toate persoanele aflate la bord au fost evacuate în siguranță. Potrivit televiziunii publice Nippon TV, există informații că avionul s-a ciocnit în momentul aterizării cu un avion al Gărzii de Coastă din Japonia, transmite Reuters.

UPDATE ora 12.17: În avionul Gărzii de Coastă despre care se crede că s-a ciocnit cu aeronava Japan Airlines se aflau șase oameni. Unul a scăpat, în vreme ce celelalte cinci sunt date dispărute, potrivit radiodifuzorilor japonezi TBS și NHK.

Potrivit Gărzii de Coastă a Japoniei, aeronava se îndrepta spre aeroportul Niigata pentru a livra ajutor umanitar peninsulei Noto, lovită de cutremurul de 7,6 de luni, 1 ianuarie, transmite Reuters.

Un purtător de cuvânt al Japan Airlines a declarat că aeronava decolase de pe Aeroportul Shin-Chitose din Hokkaido și transporta 379 de oameni. Toți cei 379 de pasageri și membri ai echipajului de la bord au fost evacuați, a spus reprezentantul companiei.
