37 Annual Run for the Zoo is happening on Cinco de Mayo

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico BioPark Society’s 37th Annual Run for the Zoo is is coming this weekend, happening on Cinco de Mayo.


New Mexico gives UPS over $473,000 to upgrade to cleaner trucks

There will be options for everyone to enjoy at the event, participants can choose from a half marathon, 10K timed run, 5K timed run, 5K fitness run or a 1 mile fun run/walk. The run takes people through neighborhoods around the zoo, along the Bosque and through the zoo. All participants receive a t shirt and a race bib and free admission to the zoo.

This year early race packet pickup is Friday, May 3 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the GAAR events center. Park and Ride for this year’s race will be at Civic Plaza.

Registration is available all the way up to the day of the race, 30 minutes prior to your race time. All proceeds from the event to supporting the ABQ BioPark. To register and for more information, click here.
