AEW star Adam Copeland has responded to CM Punk’s recent statement about AEW on Dynamite. CM Punk, who appeared on the MMA Hour, shared his views on AEW, causing controversy in the wrestling world.

The latest episode of AEW Dynamite saw Adam Copeland taking the stage. Although he didn’t mention CM Punk directly, his remarks seemed aimed at Punk, who had made a statement earlier in the week. Copeland acknowledged the negativity circulating recently but chose to focus on the positives. He showed respect for the Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Cody Rhodes, highlighting Tony Khan’s role in AEW’s success.

Emphasizing AEW’s positive impact on professional wrestling, Copeland noted the significant signings of free agents like Kazuchika Okada, Mercedes Mone, and Will Ospreay, indicating why they chose to join the company. He ended the promo by saying the latest unofficial AEW tag line, ‘AEW: Where The Best Wrestle.’

“Theres been a lot of negative BS that has been spewed this week, there has. Screw that. I wanna talk about the positives — AEW makes pro-wrestling more fun, better & AEW is where the best wrestle.”

While Copeland didn’t mention CM Punk directly, it appears that his response was possibly regarding Punk’s comments.

WWE Superstar CM Punk says AEW isn’t a real business

WWE superstar CM Punk recently appeared on MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, covering various topics, including his experiences in AEW. Punk discussed his time in the promotion and addressed the controversy surrounding his altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In in London.

Furthermore, CM Punk shared his views on AEW’s purpose, suggesting that the promotion focuses primarily on delivering good matches rather than prioritizing revenue or ticket sales. He stated, “I don’t know. I think just having good matches, maybe? And there’s nothing wrong with that.”

Punk also expressed his thoughts on Tony Khan’s management style, criticizing Khan’s niceness and suggesting that it hinders AEW’s success. He remarked, “Man, that’s a loaded question because I don’t want this to be…I don’t like the drama but the truth is the truth, he is not a boss, he’s a nice guy and I think ultimately that is a detriment to the company, but it’s not my company.”

While CM Punk is not in AEW, he made a return to WWE at the Survivor Series WarGames in his hometown of Chicago back in November. However, he is currently sidelined due to a torn triceps, which has forced him to miss this year’s WrestleMania. Despite his injury, he is scheduled to appear on the show, providing commentary during the Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre match and participating in the kickoff shows on both nights.
