The latest Telugu romantic action entertainer, Siddharth Roy, premiered in theaters on February 23, 2024. Recently, an OTT giant has confirmed that the film will make its digital debut within a week. This announcement has sparked excitement among viewers eager to experience the film from the comfort of their homes.
Directed by V. Yeshasvi, the film features Deepak Saroj and Tanvi Negi in the lead roles. Additionally, the supporting cast includes Anand, Kalyani Natarajan, Mathew Varghese, Nandini, Keerthana, and others. With an extremely low budget, it has been produced by Shree Radha Damodar Studios, along with Vihaan and Vihin Creations. The film’s synopsis on IMDb reads, “Siddharth Roy embraces logic and reason but is overwhelmed by emotions, resulting in heartache and inner turmoil.”
When will Siddharth Roy arrive on OTT?
Despite receiving a high rating of 9.3/10 on IMDb, Siddharth Roy did not achieve significant success at the box office. However, Ahavideo announced that the film will premiere on May 3, 2024.
Upon its theatrical release, fans drew comparisons between Siddharth Roy and films like Arjun Reddy and Kushi. However, lead actor Deepak Saroj clarified that this film’s narrative is distinct. He clarified, “Siddharth is a reverse thesis of Gautama Buddha. Roy, on the other hand, is a tribute of sorts to the Bengali man who inspired the director.”
He further stated, “While the stories of an Arjun Reddy or an Animal emerged out of a conflict with someone else, or for someone else, the conflict in Siddharth Roy is his own. It is completely internal. Even though Siddharth Roy looks harsh on the outside, his character arc and journey is more on the softer side.”
As the film failed to perform well at the box office, it will be intriguing to see how the audience will react to its digital release. Siddharth Roy is scheduled to stream on May 3rd on Ahavideo.
