ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Isotopes open their season with a three-game homestand against the El Paso Chihuahuas. Opening night for the Isotopes is Friday, March 29 at 6:35 p.m. and the team has plenty for fans to enjoy all throughout the season.
The 2024 season features new food items at the park for fans to enjoy. In addition to the new items, there will also be new concessions including, Thundercup Sundaes and Mister Softee Ice Cream.
El Fuego – green chile and cheese bagel with tender beef brisket burnt ends, cooked in a spicy herbed Brazilian barbecue sauce. It’s topped with a layer of green chile mac n’ cheese.
Vegetarian Fusion Bowl – A veggie dish with plant-based pork protein, cooked with a blend of hoisin, ginger, soy sauce, and a medley of crispy vegetables served on a bed of rice.
Hawaiian Barbecue Turkey Leg – Turkey leg slow-smoked and generously dipped in a traditional Hawaiian Barbecue sauce
Piggy Burger – Classic burger topped with sticky sweet pork which has been candied with maple syrup and brown sugar.
In addition to some new foods, this season will also feature new sights around the ballpark. The Isotopes and the City of Albuquerque unveiled a new state-of-the-art LED lighting system. The new system increases light levels improving visibility for fans and players to track the baseball while minimizing glare. Fans will be seeing a new mural at Isotopes Park this season. The mural includes several references to Albuquerque such as Breaking Bad and low-rider cars. The pro shop at the park is stocked full of merchandise, including some new items.
Opening weekend Isotopes park kicks off with giveaway nights for fans. Friday’s giveaway is ear flap hats, Saturday is adult jersey hoodies and Sunday is magnet schedules. All giveaway items are only available while supplies last. For the Isotopes full promotional schedule, click here.
