As per reports, Anil Kapoor is confirmed to join the De De Pyaar De 2 cast. He will be seen alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. The film will explore comic and dramatic elements of family and relationships. The sequel is set to start production in June 2024 followed by theatrical release on May 1, 2025. Anil Kapoor was last seen in Fighter and will also be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s Subedaar.
The film is directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series in collaboration with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg of Luv Films. The sequel builds on the success of the original film De De Pyaar De. The 2019 hit featured Ajay Devgn as Ashish, a man in his 50s who falls in love with Ayesha, a woman in her 20s, played by Rakul Preet Singh. The story highlights the challenges and quirks of their unconventional relationship, further complicated by Ashish’s ex-wife, played by Tabu.
