ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Autoimmune Researcher Sara Hirsh Bordo’s latest survey, “Autoimmunity and the ‘Good Girls’ was recently released. Her survey revealed that one in four women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with an autoimmune illness.
The survey says 80% of people diagnosed with an autoimmune disease are women. Many women go undiagnosed or are underdiagnosed. Bordo says women should always speak up in order to get the proper treatment and diagnoses. For more information on the survey and for resources for women, click here.
