Computing system with 1.15 billion artificial neurons arrives at Sandia Labs

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Sandia National Labs welcomed a new computing system packed with more than a billion artificial neurons. The brain-base system called Hala Point is believed to be the biggest in the world, containing all the neuron brain-power in a container roughly the size of a microwave oven.

The technology made its way from Oregon. It provides the labs with a large-scale, brain-based system with an unrivaled ability to process, respond, and learn from real-life data.
