Crews plan prescribed burn in Lincoln National Forest

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Smokey Bear Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest will have a prescribed burn April 10-11. Crews will be focusing on about 87 acres within the Cedar Creek Prescribed Burn Project Area.

The project will affect the following trails in the area; Fitness Trail (T90), Lower Cedar Creek Trail (120A), and trails 120B 120C and 120D. Officials say smoke will be visible in and around Ruidoso. Cancellations or schedule changes can occur on short notice if weather is an issue.
