Blood Free is an ongoing Disney Plus K-drama that premiered on April 10, 2024. The series follows the story of BF Group CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo (Han Hyo-Joo), who dominates the genetically engineered cultured meat market. She aims to not only break the existing food chain but also to create dominant species using cell culture technology. However, as opposition arises from both inside and outside the company, she hires soldier-turned-bodyguard Woo Chae-Woon (Ju Ji-Hoon) to help her. The drama airs its final two episodes on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 4 p.m. KST on Disney Plus.
Chief Detective 1958
Chief Detective 1958 is a recently released K-drama on the streaming platform. It premiered on April 19, 2024, on MBC and is available to stream on Disney Plus. The story centers around ace detective Park Young-Han (Lee Je-Hoon), who teams up with his colleagues to investigate a variety of cases, including crime and corruption. Uncle Samsik is an upcoming Disney Plus K-drama all set to premiere on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The series will replace Blood Free and mark Song Kang-Ho’s first TV series appearance. The series revolves around two individuals who make an uneasy collaboration. Set in a tumultuous time in 1960s South Korea, Kim San (Byun Yo-Han) is an ambitious man who wishes to make the country into a modern nation where everyone eats well. Park Doo-Chil, fondly known as Uncle Samsik (Song Kang-Ho), hears about this mission and joins hands with Kim San to help achieve the same.
Crash
Crash will join Uncle Samsik as the upcoming release for May 2024. It is all set to premiere on Monday, May 13, 2024, on ENA and Disney Plus. The series follows the story of the Traffic Crime Investigation Team (TCI), which only tracks a variety of car-related crimes. Popular actors Lee Min-Ki and Kwak Sun-Young lead the series as Cha Yeon-Ho and Min So-Hee, respectively. They collaborate with a talented team of detectives to crack car crime-related cases.
