Exclusive You Can’t Run Forever Clip Previews Terrifying J.K. Simmons Performance

ComingSoon is exclusively debuting a clip from You Can’t Run Forever, which releases in select United States theaters on May 17, 2024, from Lionsgate. It will also be available to view On Demand and on digital streaming services on the same date.

You Can’t Run Forever is an upcoming thriller movie starring J.K. Simmons. The exclusive clip previews a terrifying performance from Simmons, as his character goes off on a random killing spree. When asked why he’s committing these gruesome murders, Simmons’ character merely answers, “Does it matter?”

What is You Can’t Run Forever about?

“Miranda, a young woman already suffering from acute anxiety due to a past tragedy, faces a new terror when a serial killer chooses her as his new target,” the official synopsis reads. “In a harrowing hunt through the woods, Miranda finds strength she never knew she had as she tries to elude her murderous tracker. Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons stars in a spine-chilling thriller about the strength of family and the astonishing power of the human spirit.”

You Can’t Run Forever is directed by Michelle Schumacher, who is married to Simmons. Along with a couple of short films, Schumacher previously directed 2013’s 3 Geezers! and 2017’s I’m Not Here, both of which starred her husband.

Along with Simmons, You Can’t Run Forever stars Fernanda Urrejola (Cry Macho, Narcos: Mexico), Allen Leech (Downton Abbey, Bohemian Rhapsody), Isabelle Anaya (Donny’s Bar Mitzvah), Graham Patrick Martin (Major Crimes, Two and a Half Men), and Olivia Simmons (Honor Student, Junk Food).

Schumacher co-wrote the script for You Can’t Run Forever with Carolyn Carpenter. Randle Schumacher produces the movie.
