For the first time in five years, the Experience Hendrix Tour will return this fall, reviving the tribute tradition with an all-star lineup of new and returning guitar giants and Hendrix disciples. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its 2004 inaugural run, the Experience Hendrix Tour will make 24 stops across the country, bringing a roster of 18 artists to the Pacific Northwest, West Coast, Southwest, South Central and Southeast regions in September and October. The first full tour since 2019 will be led by Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Chirstone “Kingfish” Ingram, Zakk Wylde and Eric Johnson, with a host of special guests still to be announced.

To honor the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix, the Experience Hendrix Tour presents a three-hour star-studded concert program, distinguished by a diversity of age and style that expresses the icon’s indelible and continuous impact on the rock world. The prestigious performers selected conjure the memory of Hendrix with interpretations of timeless standards like “Voodoo Child,” “Red House” and “Freedom,” as well as a selection of the blues standards that influenced the icon in his pioneering rock style. The series’ 2024 return boasts contributions from blues guitar prodigy Kingfish, Black Label Society founder Wylde, Grammy-winning powerhouse Johnson and Shepherd, the five-time Grammy nominated blues rocker and serial veteran of the Experience Hendrix Tour that serves as this year’s figurehead.

“I’m excited to rejoin the Experience Hendrix tour this year,” Shepherd has shared on the upcoming outing. “It’s always been a great tour with exceptional artists honoring Jimi Hendrix, the greatest guitar player of all time, and his amazing and expansive catalog of songs. Being able to do a tour with friends always makes for a great time and this show is not to be missed.”

The Experience Hendrix Tour will begin in the artist’s Seattle hometown with a Sept. 19 staging at the Paramount Theatre. This opening presentation will lead into two further dates in the Pacific Northwest on Sept. 20 and 21, followed by a scattershot sprint across the West and California coast, highlighted by a Sept. 27 set at Las Vegas’ Smith Center and culminating in a performance at the Rady Shell in San Diego on Oct. 3. Next, the tour will make two Southwest stops on Oct. 4 and 5 before jumping north for a single night at Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

On Oct. 9, the tour will kick off a three-show series in Texas with a set at San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre. The tour will follow this Lone Star trio with an Oct. 12 engagement in Tulsa, Okla., then present three Southern sets from Oct. 13-16, including an exciting booking at Nashville, Tenn.’s historic Ryman Auditorium on Oct. 15. Finally, the 2024 Experience Hendrix Tour will come to a close with three shows around the Sunshine State, concluding with a performance at the St. Augustine Amphitheater in St. Augustine, Fla. on Oct. 19.

Pre-sale for the 2024 Experience Hendrix Tour will begin on April 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time; general on-sale will follow on this Friday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. local time. For tickets and more information, visit experiencehendrixtour.com.
