Detectives say they are looking into the possibility that Bondi Junction attacker Joel Cauchi targeted women in his stabbing spree that left six people dead and seriously wounded 12 others, including an infant.
Police in Queensland, where the 40-year-old lived before moving to New South Wales about a month ago, said they were also investigating claims that Cauchi had a fixation on knives, while the man’s family said his actions were “truly horrific, and we are still trying to comprehend what has happened”.
