A man who collapsed while crossing the street died after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Reseda on Sunday, April 14, authorities said.
Around 9 p.m., the man was crossing Etiwanda Avenue inside of a marked crosswalk when he fell to the ground and was unable to get up, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A dark-colored sedan heading east on Sherman Way struck him and continued driving.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he died.
His identity was not released on Monday.
No arrest had been announced on Monday, and additional information, including the make and the model of the suspect vehicle, was unclear.
Los Angeles police detectives are investigating the hit-and-run.
