Yesterday (May 2), PENTAGON’s Kino dropped this first solo EP, titled ‘If this is love, I want a refund’. The record is led by the single ‘Broke My Heart’, which features American singer, rapper and songwriter Lay Bankz.

In the accompanying music video for ‘Broke My Heart’, the duo hit up a retro diner where they sing and dance to the new track. “Why you broke my heart? / Hope you scream my name on top of him / Oh, you broke my heart / Don’t you come crying to me, you know what?,” Kino sings on the chorus.

Speaking about the EP in a press release, Kino said that the project “represents the full cycle of a relationship”. He added: “It is also a collection of songs revealing genuine feelings about love; The good, the bad, the ugly. Love is not always as nice as it’s been portrayed nor our feelings towards it.”

Kino first debuted in 2016 under CUBE Entertainment as a member of boyband PENTAGON. Following his departure from the company in October 2023, the singer established his one-man agency NAKED last December. He then embarked on his first solo tour ‘Born Naked’ this January.

In other K-pop news, rookie boyband TWS have announced their first comeback this June with their second album. The six-member Pledis Entertainment act debuted back in January with their mini-album ‘Sparkling Blue’ and its lead single ‘plot twist’.
