‘Tan Pants Bandit’ wanted by FBI for Rio Rancho bank robbery

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – The FBI and Rio Rancho Police Department are asking the public’s help in identifying someone they’re calling the “Tan Pants Bandit,” who robbed a local bank on Monday. Authorities say a white male wearing a black sweatshirt and tan pants entered the Rio Grande Credit Union of Rio Rancho (1526 Unser Blvd SE) around 4:45 p.m. on April 1.

A press release states the suspect demanded money from a teller, who then handed over an undisclosed amount. The FBI is offering a reward of $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

The suspect is being described as a white male, approximately 5’7″ in height, with a stocky build. Along with the sweatshirt and pants, he was wearing a black beanie, white face mask, glasses, and black Nike shoes.
