The 8 Show is an upcoming K-drama series that will premiere on Netflix on Friday, May 17, 2024. Based on Bae Jin-Soo’s highly successful webtoon Money Game, the series follows the journey of eight individuals in desperate need of money participating in a reality show. The newly released trailer teases the cast, including Ryu Jun-Yeol, Chun Woo-Hee, and more, navigating the game as it intensifies stage by stage.

The series trailer documents the individuals living their lives inside the game show. Eight individuals play the unique game that tests them to their limits as they battle for a grand cash prize. Furthermore, the contestants will have to stay there for a total of 100 days to be able to divide the prize money of a whopping  44.8 billion KRW. However, the stakes keep increasing as they spend on necessities that cost more than expected.

The newly released trailer introduces the eight contestants: cast members Ryu Jun-Yeol, Chun Won-Hee, Park Jeong-Min, Lee Yeul-Eum, Park Hae-Joon, Lee Joo-Young, Moon Jung-Hee, and Bae Sung-Woo. The trailer begins with Ryu Jun-Yeol, who plays Jin-Soo, welcoming viewers into the story from his room.

Meanwhile, the trailer showcases the rest of the cast, who possess various characteristics. The announcer reveals that the contestants do not need special skills to stay in the game. The cast proceeds to compete in a variety of games, with each floor representing a level. Each contestant lives out their tragic comedies as time passes indefinitely. As the game turns “irresistible but brutal,” these cast members employ dangerous means to survive.

With time, the stakes increase. These contestants resort to darker survival modes, risking their lives to win the cash prize. Only time will tell who ends up winning the game.
