In addition, Allen is accused of one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon while underage. Lemons is accused of unlawful use of a weapon as a felon and Dixon is accused of possessing a stolen vehicle, police said.

Police said the three were arrested Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Van Buren Street and the 3900 block of West Monroe Street as they fled the area where they allegedly shot and killed 16-year-old Johnveir Winn-McKeever, of Austin, and injured three other men.

Lemons and Dixon were both on parole, according to court records. Lemons was paroled in May 2023 after being sentenced to four years behind bars for 2021 instances of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Dixon was paroled in March 2023, according to prison records. He was serving sentences of two years for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and three years for possession of a stolen vehicle, per prison records.

According to a police report, Dixon admitted to driving the stolen vehicle but said he was “just driving” it and “had no idea what was going on.”

Judge David Kelly ordered all three suspects detained while they await trial, according to court records.

Allen will return to court on April 24. Dixon’s next appearance is scheduled for Monday. Lemons will appear for a status hearing on Thursday at 9 a.m.
