The upcoming modern C-drama Best Choice Ever is all set to premiere on April 9, 2024. It features popular actors Yang Zi and Xu Kai in the main roles. It is an adaptation of the novel “Stories of Mai Chenghuan” by Yi Shu.
The drama tells the story of Mai Cheng Huan (Yang Zi), whose mother advises her to ask her boyfriend, Xin Jia Liang (Niu Jun Feng), to marry her. But Cheng Huan’s plan backfires, and her boyfriend dumps her instead.
She starts to find life meaningless. She is conflicted between allowing her parents to intervene in her personal life and taking control of her own life. At the time of chaos, Cheng Huan meets Yao Zhi Ming (Xu Kai), her stepgrandmother’s grandson. The duo work side by side managing the hotel their grandmother entrusts them and forms an unlikely bond.

The original broadcasting network of the drama, Tencent Video, has released some photos teasing the upcoming drama. The photos portray the main characters, Cheng Huan and Yao Zhi Ming, engaging in sweet moments of romance.

Other than the main actors, Best Choice Ever will also feature Xu Ling Yue, Gala Zhang, He Sai Fei, Wu Yan Shu, Yao An Lian, Jeremy Qu, Wang Zi Wei, Bao Chen Xi, and Guo Yun Qi in pivotal roles. Tian Yu is the director of the drama, while Hu Xiao Yu and Li Jing Ling have written it.
