Widespread Panic Plot Three-Night Boston Return, First Since 2015

Rmag Breaking News

Widespread Panic have added a three-night run to its ever-expanding slate of appearances. The Peach State originators shared that their newly added, late-summer 2024 dates will take them to MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park in Boston from August 22 through 24. The emergence of Northeastern concerts doubles as the band’s long-awaited Beantown return, their first since 2015.

Before the onslaught of their freshly positioned Boston concerts, John Bell, Dave Schools, Domingo Ortiz, JoJo Hermann, Jimmy Herring, and Duane Trucks are scheduled to take part in their highly anticipated Panic en la Playa sold-out destination concert series from April 14 through 14, which nudges their follow-up/ New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival stand.

As is the case with Widespread Panic, dates will not ride on one another’s coattails. Instead, the band will take a sizeable break from the live stage, only to return for the emergence of a pair of Memphis, Tenn., concerts at Radian Amphitheatre at Memphis Botanic Garden. Another break separates the aforementioned shows and WP’s Red Rocks run, June 21 through 23, which is also sold out.

The final run of shows prior to the emergence of the newly dropped Boston news will take the band to the ExploreAsheville.com Arena on July 25 through 27. In addition to live shows, Widespread Panic has been trickling out new single releases, including “Little By Little,”
We Walk Each Other Home” and “Tackle Box Hero.”

Tickets for the band’s three-night run in Boston go on sale Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. ET.
