Modern C-drama Will Love in Spring, starring Li Xian and Zhou Yutong, recently released its final episode. The episode focuses on Chen Mai Dong (Li Xian) and Zhuang Jie (Zhou Yutong) realizing their uncompromising love for one another. Mai Dong participates in an annual funeral exhibition. As the exhibitor talks about death and how everyone wishes to leave their mark behind in this world, different thoughts crowd Mai Dong’s mind.
Flashbacks take viewers to a month earlier. Mai Dong’s grandmother meets Zhuang Jie’s mother and urges her to convince Zhuang Jie to meet Mai Dong more often. She is worried that the couple will grow apart because of their devotion towards their respective careers. Ms. Zhuang explains why Zhuang Jie never settles for less when it comes to her profession. She has always felt inferior because of her disability, and she does not want anyone to look down on her or question her capabilities.
Meanwhile, Zhuang Jie meets the medical professionals to discuss her business ideas that will benefit the medical world. When she hears about Nanping possibly becoming a medical tourism pilot zone from Cai Ge, she gets excited. She doesn’t want to waste any time and heads back to her hometown to contribute to the cause.
Will Love in Spring ending: Do Zhou Yutong & Li Xian part ways?
Zhuang Jie’s brother, Zhuang Yan, discusses his dating preferences with Mai Dong. He opens up about being born into the wrong gender and not being sure about wanting to date women. To make matters worse, his mother is not ready to listen to him. Mai Dong advises him to keep this to himself until he figures it out completely. He tells him that it takes a long time for a person to know themself.
The next day, Mai Dong drops him off at the station. Zhuang Yan tries to ask him about Zhuang Jie, but Mai Dong is not willing to talk about her. As he prepares to leave, Zhuang Jie gets inside his car. Not having any choice, he has to drive off. Zhuang Jie desperately tries to have a conversation with Mai Dong, but he completely ignores her. Zhuang Jie enthusiastically talks about the medical pilot zone and praises the one who came up with the brilliant idea. In reality, it was Mai Dong who made the original proposal.
Mai Dong even ignores Zhuang Jie’s friend, who tries to speak to him. Zhuang Jie gets worried that he has already gotten over her. She rushes to his house and confesses that she genuinely likes him. She explains that their ways of expressing their feelings are different, but she wants to be engaged to him. Fearing he might break up with her, Zhuang Jie quietly leaves his place.
When Mai Dong witnesses Zhuang Jie’s genuine love for the town, he falls for her all over again. He meets her on the day she leaves for Shanghai. The couple clears up all their misunderstandings and decides to continue to see each other. Zhuang Jie goes back to Shanghai, and they continue their long-distance relationship.
On her way back to Nanping, Zhuang Jie almost runs into an accident. She reunites with Mai Dong at the airport. The couple expresses their undying love for one another and promises to be together forever.
