Albuquerque police disrupt 3 street racing events; arrest woman

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department’s Traffic Division disrupted three illegal street racing events over the weekend.

The three events took place in the valley, northeast, and northwest area commands. Officers escorted several large groups off private property and issued 38 citations.

Officers arrested Kathryn Edmiston, 21, after she reportedly fled from officers on March 30, when they were conducting a similar operation. Officers saw her vehicle in a parking stall of the Maverick gas station located at 5001 Jefferson Street NE before they made the arrest.

Edmiston was booked on a warrant for reckless driving and two counts of aggravated fleeing a law enforcement.
