Disney Plus’ upcoming K-drama, Uncle Samsik, is already buzzing with the audience’s reactions. Starring Song Kang-Ho and Byun Yo-Han in the lead, it is currently one of the most anticipated dramas. A new set of pictures is released introducing Jin Ki-Joo’s character in the drama.
Helmed by director Shin Yeon-Shick, the drama is set in the 1960s Korean backdrop. It revolves around two men, Uncle Samsik (Kang-Ho) and Kim Han’s (Yo-Han) life story. How they survived the turbulent period of that era while evolving together is all about the drama. It will show their ambitions and bromance in full vigor. Now, a new set of pictures is released introducing Jin Ki-Joo’s character in the drama.
Uncle Samsik releases pictures highlighting Jin Ki-Joo’s upright character
Disney Plus dropped a few pictures of Jin Ki-Joo from Uncle Samsik. She plays Joo Yeo-Jin, a Korean literature graduate, in the drama and helps her father at his office. He is in the National Assembly. Being the topper, Yeo-Jin possesses a great amount of intelligence and stature. She portrays Kim San’s love interest. She will do anything for her lover, but she always worries about him.
Now, the newly released still-cuts from Uncle Samsik show Joo Yeo-Jin’s looks. She exudes a worrisome expression in the first image while wearing a pale blue shirt. With her neat outfits and slick back hair, the actress shells out her intelligent aura. Her expressions create mystery surrounding her character, leaving the viewers excited about her development in the show.
Talking about the character Jin Ki-Joo shared, as reported in XSports.com, “Joo Yeo-Jin is a character with potential, who could become anything. Joo Yeo-Jin has nothing in common with the characters I’ve played before. You might see a different side of Jin Ki-Joo that you’ve never seen before.”
The director added, “Joo Yeo-Jin is like a mirror reflecting the era. She is a character who looks at the era objectively and thinks about what is right. Actress Jin Ki-Joo did a great job of reflecting this aspect of the character in the drama.”
Uncle Samsik is all set to premiere on May 15, 2024, on Disney Plus.
