Google.org Launches ‘AI Opportunity Fund for Europe’ in Romania
Google.org, the philanthropic division of Google, in collaboration with the Center for Public Impact, announces the launch in Romania of the “AI Opportunity Fund for Europe” program, which offers support and funding to organizations that want to organize training courses in the field of artificial intelligence. The objective of the program is to support the adaptation of the workforce to the changes generated by the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Up to 200 selected organizations will have access to AI fundamentals training courses for their beneficiaries, in Romanian, designed by Google and external partners, with step-by-step guidance and full support. Also, the selected organizations will receive financial support, for Romania a fund of 300,000 euros has been allocated for grants and training. The program is addressed to non-profit organizations and other entities part of civil society, municipalities and professional associations.
Applications to the Google.org “AI Opportunity Fund for Europe” program can be made here. Organizations can apply until June 28, 2024. According to the program agenda, in the third quarter of 2024 the applications will be analyzed and the interviews will take place with the enrolled organizations, and the entities selected to participate in the program will be announced in the last quarter of the year. The courses will start in the first half of 2025.
