The Italian company Exor EMS, supported by Panasonic and part of the Holdex group, entered Romania through the acquisition of the Dm Elektron company. Exor Electronica produces electronic circuit boards in Râșnov, Brașov county, the parent company being specialized in hardware and software for the Internet of Things and in the design of advanced automation and HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems.
The investment in Exor Electronica aims to strengthen the production structure of the parent company in Italy in order to shorten value chains and reduce dependence on third-party suppliers: the Romanian company, located in Râșnov, Brașov county, will deal with the production of electronic boards.
Exor EMS has been designing, developing and manufacturing HMI and industrial IoT solutions for almost half a century. Founded in Verona in 1971, it currently has 150 employees in Italy, Romania, Germany, the USA and India and a network of 40 distributors worldwide. Panasonic became a shareholder in the company in 2020 with a 43% stake, after acquiring the shares held by investment fund FVS.
