Kagurabachi chapter 28 was released in the Weekly Shonen Jump issue 19 on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 12 a.m. JST. The chapter centered around the mysteries behind the Rakuzaichi’s vault. It was revealed that there was an emergency exit to the vault. The chapter also saw Hiyuki arrive at the battlefield with Flame Bone.

Kagurabachi chapter 28 reveals that the Sazanami family’s vault for the Rakuzaichi auction is built so that it doesn’t freely exist in the physical world. The vault exists on an infinite plane and extends above and below.
Chihiro recalls something that Kyora Sazanami told him about the vault’s authority, which is passed down from one Sazanami clan head to another. He questions Hakuri whether he has observed the leadership of the Sazanami clan being passed down or not.
His grandfather was ill and retired from the position of clan head, hence his father Kyora Sazanami became the new head. Chihiro ponders that the authority only transfers to the next head if the current one dies.
The chapter then moves to November 6. Chihiro informs Shiba about the peculiar door inside the vault. The latter says that it must be a getaway into the subspace. However, Chihiro remarks that he has only observed people teleporting to enter and exit. This brings him to the conclusion that the door is an emergency exit.

Towards the end of chapter 28, it was revealed that there was only one way to access the emergency exit. They must go below the auction hall to the Sazanami clan’s cemetery, Naginojoen. Hakuri is seen waiting in the car outside the Rakuzaichi building.
The chapter also explains the broken Cloud Gouger or Kuregumo Enchanted Blade. Albeit being, it is said that Chihiro can use it a few times before it ultimately becomes useless. With that, chapter 28 concludes as Hiyuki arrives at the scene, wields the Flame Bone, and nonchalantly greets Chihiro.
