Ready, set, pull: Teams tug plane to raise funds for Special Olympics

Law enforcement agencies, nonprofits, businesses and community groups gathered at the Long Beach Airport on Saturday, Aug. 24, to help raise money for the Special Olympics Southern California.

After a Supercar Show and opening ceremony on Saturday morning, teams took to the tarmac to find out who could pull the 62-ton UPS jet at least 12 feet the fastest.

The event benefits Special Olympics Southern California, which provides sports programming, competitions, leadership programs and health initiatives.
