AEW Dynasty made history as Swerve Strickland captured the world title, becoming the first African American wrestler to achieve this in the promotion. Now, he will have a target on his back within the roster.

AEW’s next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, is scheduled for May 26th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Strickland could face numerous top potential challengers for his title. One could be Will Ospreay, who defeated Bryan Danielson in one of the best matches of the year at AEW Dynasty. He stands as a strong contender to challenge the new title holder. Additionally, Strickland might confront an old rival, such as Hangman Page, who is returning to challenge him for a singles world title match. Or, Samoa Joe may also come back, invoking his rematch clause.
