Jordan Beck off to a hot start with the Albuquerque Isotopes

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s only been one weekend but, for outfielder Jordan Beck it’s been a productive one. The Colorado Rockies’ number four prospect made his debut with AAA Albuquerque Isotopes last Friday and put up numbers at the plate.

Beck had a pair of home runs and six runs batted in during a three-game series against the EL Paso Chihuahuas. “You know, I play all three outfield positions. I like to say that I’m a pretty good defender. I bring it with the stick as well,” said Beck.”

Beck hit the ball so hard that the exit velocity off of his bat reached over one hundred miles per hour on five of his hits. “I mean, each and every day you got to get a little bit better,” said Beck. “I mean, I think that’s all of our goals. If this whole team can do that, I think a lot of us will be in the big leagues at some point this year. Obviously, what you said, that’s our goal as well. So, I think, uh, just get better each and every day.”

Prior to making his Isotopes debut, Beck had an award-winning training camp with the Colorado Rockies. The Isotopes are on the road Tuesday to open a six-game series at the Oklahoma City Dodgers.
