Actor Sung Joon has joined the cast of the highly anticipated K-drama The Fiery Priest 2. It is the second season of the popular Korean series titled The Fiery Priest. The new season will premiere on SBS in the second half of 2024. Park Jae Bum has acted as the screenwriter of the series, while Park Bo Ram has directed it.
Sung Joon is all set to portray the significant role of Kim Hong Sik in the upcoming season of the K-drama. It is a villainous character who is quite ambitious and fierce.

As mentioned above, actor Sung Joon will play the menacing villainous role of Kim Hong Sik in The Fiery Priest 2. Kim Hong Sik is a dangerous drug lord who teams up with a prosecutor. During his childhood, the character was sold to Laos. From there, he began working for a drug cartel. Soon, he rose to the powerful position of the cartel’s deputy leader. Now, he has a bigger dream to achieve.
Kim Hong Sik wants to form a massive drug cartel in Busan, where there will be no law. From Busan, he wants to spread the cartel all over Korea. In The Fiery Priest 2, Sung Joon’s character will be seen battling it out with Kim Nam Gil’s character, Kim Hae Il. It will be quite interesting to see how the vicious character turns out.
The actor has previously been a part of several other noteworthy K-dramas, including Island, Island Part 2, Call It Love, Ms. Perfect, and others.
Apart from Sung Joon and Kim Nam Gil, the main cast list for the new season of the K-drama includes Lee Ha Nee as Park Kyung Sun, BIBI as Gu Ja Young, Kim Sung Kyun as Gu Dae Young, and Seo Hyun Woo as Nam Doo Heon.
The Fiery Priest 2 will debut in the second half of 2024 on the KBS network.
